U. Bhaskar Rao (b. 1947) has participated in prestigious group shows and national and international exhibitions held in India, Singapore, Bangkok, Dubai and Paris besides other.  He is a recipient of the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award, Govt. of Karnataka -2004, Karnataka Lalitkala Academy Award in 1969, 1979, 1980 and1981, Karnataka Lalitkala Academy Award of Honour -1996 and G S Shenoy Memorial Award -2001 from Samyojita. A former member of the Central Lalitkala Academy (2004-09) Karnataka Lailtkala Academy in 1979, he has been a member of the Mysore Arts Council and South Kanara Art Council.  Bhaskar Rao lives and works in Bangalore.
